## What it is

Hotel Embarque is organised around its courtyard rather than a lobby. A
reimagined mid-century modern building wraps a resort-style outdoor pool deck
with private cabanas, and the Cántaro Pool Club — an open-air courtyard
restaurant and bar — sits at its centre. Every guest is welcomed with a chilled
"first pour" served in an unglazed clay vessel. The name comes from the Spanish
*embarque* (boarding), rooted in *barque*, a sailboat: if Sky Harbor is a harbor
in the sky, the hotel is the vessel waiting when you land.
